not dust yet

everything you have
mixed with everything everyone else has
your car on top of
your favorite hat
flags ripping

wind chimes warning:
it's a tornado

orange juice spilled into a cut on your leg
a missing magnet that says let the rain kiss you

a girl is kicking her legs on the back of a truck
outside of what used to be the CD store
sharp looking pieces of plastic glitter around her

sweaty shadows say hey careful don't step on that

it happened during the greek festival
mom explained the storms and all she could think
about was baklava swirling

over the land razor flat
a woman growls from her lawn chair
next to a crying puppy

the sky dropping off tiny stained wine glasses
around the blackened town

the radio crackles the news:
everything flattened

pinch me
