Don't forget cash on vacation-
tips for flips in the streets
and for the band

all the lights went out in Memphis
and the only things running
were the tourism horses

a backup plan

are the ceilings too low or the floors too high of

‘blow horn for attendant’

first ten minutes of the movie
first rain of the season
are way too much
like a sprint that feels so good at first

did you hear the story told only in weekends?

  1. Hi Mary, my name is Nick. You don't know me well and may not even remember me but we had met awhile back in Chicago. I'm reaching out to you because I came across your poetry hereand I really enjoyed it. In particular 'Sean Paul's Last Call' and 'The Stoned Greek'. I am at the beginning of a project called Story File, a collection of short stories and poetry that would come together in a printed publication. I was wondering if you had any interest in submitting some pieces of writing to the publication? There is no real requirements on length and I would consider including multiple pieces. I can't compensate you for the pieces but I do intend on seeing distribution here in NYC and abroad so there could be exposure. If you're interested, shoot me an email at nickalguire@gmail.com. Thanks!
